All Wine and liquors in Sóller
A great way to experience the Majorcan culture and the island is to taste their different sorts of wine. As everywhere else on the island, viticulture has a very long tradition in the Tramuntana mountains. On the steep slopes of the mountain ranges, the grapes ripen in a very special microclimate, which gives the wine of the region an incomparable and unique savour.
“Serra de Tramuntana-Costa Nord” is the name of the wine region that extends in the northwest of the island between Cap Formentor and the south-western town of Andratx. There are twelve wineries which grow wine on an area of 10.77 hectares. The red wines produced here are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Monastrell, Tempranillo, Callet and Manto-Negro. The white wines are Malvasía, Moscatel, Minor, Parellada, Macabeo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Other regional produced alcoholic specialties are liqueurs made of Mediterranean fruits, almonds or mountain herbs.
